The
Adelaide Connector free bus service is a Council initiative which provides a safe
and convenient link between the major facilities within the North Adelaide and
City area. Facilities such as hospitals, universities, schools, community services
and shopping precincts are now linked and accessible via the Adelaide Connector
free bus service.
The Adelaide Connector route includes streets, principally
in North Adelaide, where traditionally buses have not operated and services facilities
such as the playground on LeFevre Terrace, the North Adelaide Primary School and
the North Adelaide Community Centre, library and medical rooms.
The Adelaide
Connector free bus service is staffed by experienced people operating two 16-seater
Toyota Coasters vehicles, fitted with disability access.
This service
makes the City far more accessible to residents and visitors and provides a safe,
convenient mode of connecting the City’s North with its South and key points in
between.
Bus timetables are also available from the Adelaide City Council’s
Customer Centre at 25 Pirie Street, at the North Adelaide Library and the Community
Centre in Tynte Street, the Box Factory Community Centre in McLaren Street, the
Citizen Advice Bureau booth in Rundle Mall, the City of Adelaide Lending Library
in Kintore Avenue, and the Coglin Street Community Centre.
